Miranda Pode leads the global Priority Clients Initiative for the firm’s Financial Services Practice. She primarily serves clients in the financial services industry, with a particular focus on insurance, retail banking, and consumer finance. Miranda specializes in finding CEOs, operational and risk leaders, chief marketing officers, and chief human resources officers who can transform financial services institutions for a market that is increasingly defined by customer centricity. She is also an executive coach and trusted advisor to boards and CEOs, especially on diversity and inclusion, and works with nominating committees to identify and recruit exceptional female directors. Miranda is part of Egon Zehnder’s Board Consulting, CEO, and Human Resources practices, and previously led the Financial Services Practice in the United Kingdom.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Miranda was a member of the executive committee of Marks & Spencer’s food division, running the marketing and strategy function as well as the M&S direct food business. Earlier, she worked for Sainsbury’s, first as Head of Investor Relations, then leading the petrol-retailing operation and developing the company’s “Sainsbury-to-you” home shopping business, and finally as the group’s Head of Strategy. Miranda began her career as an investor relations consultant in Boston and London, advising U.S. companies seeking access to European equity markets.
Miranda earned a BA (with honors) in American Studies from Nottingham University, an MA in American Studies from Boston College, and an MBA from London Business School.
